Marta “Martha” Richards nee Garetto. Age 94. Longtime Palos Heights resident, formerly of Beecher and Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood. Graduate of Beecher High School Class of 1948. Over 50 year Medical/Office Assistant for many Doctors in the Advocate Health Care System, working for Dr Vasha Bahn office until December 31, 2023 when she fell ill. Former member of the Women’s Piedmontese Society. Wife for 32 years of the late James Richards. Daughter of the late Giovanna nee Tiglio and Martin Garetto. Sister of Elena (late Leonard) Krueger, the late Marie (late Donald) O’Keefe, Dominic (late Helen) Garetto and Costanzo (late Emily) Garetto. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Friend to many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Sunday April 21, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at St Alexander Church, 7025 W 126th Street, Palos Heights Monday April 22, 2024 for Funeral Mass 10:00 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip. Martha was a wonderful person who care deeply for the doctors and patients. Always had a kind word and willign to help patients. I will miss her.
