I learned of Rob's passing a few dsys ago. I am shocked and saddened. I knew Rob from high school specifically during the years of 1975 and 1976. I have thought about Rob throughout the years....I think we all have a special place for high school memories and I member most his kindness, helpfulness, and sheer brillance. He helped me enormously in Junior year physics...I will always remember that. The class of 1977 was unique in that some of us chose to remain at Bloom, and some of us (like myself) decided to go Bloom Trail. The decision still remains bittersweet for me....friendships, connections changed. But I remember cast parties, going to Pizza Cellar in Steger. I recall he said he planned to go into the field of Law. I read he later went into Media Management and that doesn't surprise me he would chose an up-and-coming field...he would have kept abreast of trends. My most sincere condolences to family and friends. This is such a tender time. Vaya con Dios Rob. Thank-you.

I met Robbie, his father, mother and sisters a long time ago when we participated in International Small Fry Basketball tournaments. He traveled to Puerto Rico every year during the winter to evaluate our teams that would later participate in the tournament in the United States. After my retirement we had phone conversations and text messages. The last time we saw each other was in 2024 in Chicago while I was on duty from my work with FEMA. That day we met with his family and spent a very pleasant afternoon. We agreed to see each other again, and that he would visit us again in Puerto Rico, which we did not achieve. My wife Sonia and I were very fond of him and we liked his way of solving the "emergencies" that arose during the games. We know that someday we will both meet in the presence of the Lord.

Robbie was one of my lifetime friends. We met while in high school and stayed in touch all these years. Robbie sang at my wedding and blessed me with a plethora of happy and hilarious memories. My family adored him too. There are no words to describe how much we will miss him and how thankful we are that Robbie was a part of our lives.

The best friend I've ever had. The kindest, most understanding and compassionate soul I've ever known. My heart is broken.
