Robert S. Giordano. Age 72. Crete resident, formerly of Flossmoor and Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood passed away peacefully. Robert attended Mendel Catholic High School where he was a Golden Glove Boxer and later graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School. He built a strong work ethic throughout his life, working as a Foreman at Kaiser Aluminum, serving as proprietor of BiltTuff Homes of Illinois, and as a realtor for Re/Max in South Holland and Crete, as well as with Naughton Homes. Retired after 20 years as a dedicated truck driver with A&M Trucking in Mokena and Jack Gray Transport in Gary, Indiana. Proud member of the Teamsters Local 142. Robert lived life with passion and energy. He enjoyed playing drums in his band White Crowe, motorcycling, playing pool and practicing martial arts, earning his black belt. Beloved husband for 46 years of Jane nee Conner. Father of Jennifer (Joshua Wuest) Giordano and Joseph “Joey” Giordano. Grandfather of Michelino Wuest. Son of the late Mary nee Trentacosti and Salvatore Giordano. Brother to 2 living and 2 predeceased siblings. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Loyal friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Friday May 8, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services at funeral home Saturday May 9, 2026 10:00 am. My condolences to the family. I graduated with Bob from grammar school at Holy Rosary Slovack. I remember Bob as a very pleasant and kind individual. I remember one time a group of us boys wound up at his house and his mother made us a fantastic pasta dinner. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of my cousin's passing. Bob was a wonderful man to everyone, especially to his family. I'll cherish all the great memories I have. My heart goes out to his family. ❤️
