August "Augie" Zaranti - 64

August “Augie” Zaranti, 64, passed into heaven's gates on April 28, 2025.  He was born on February 10,1961 in Chicago Heights, IL. The son of Angela Dolores nee Rea and Nick J Zaranti. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Nick Zaranti II, and Santo “Sandy” Zaranti. Survived his sisters Mary Jagalla, and Victoria (Craig) Tucker. Uncle of Nick Tucker, Alana (Jon) Joerin, Justin (Candace) Tucker and Christopher (Heather) Jagalla. Great uncle of 13 great-nephews and great-nieces. Cousin to many.

Augie was a graduate from Bloom High School Class of 1980. He loved Chicago Heights and was proud to be born and raised there. 

He enjoyed shooting pool, shooting hoops, and playing arcade games. He loved music, especially 1970's soul music, and anything with a good beat. He liked playing keyboard. He liked watching comedies, soap operas & Mr. Bean movies. He loved his cats and dogs and enjoyed food.

Augie was funny! He loved to joke around and liked to tease people. He laughed and smiled often. He loved making people laugh. He brought countless smiles and joy to others with his lighthearted happy self. Augie was also insightful, saying some profound things, at times you'd least expect it.

His belief in Jesus and the Bible was strong. He was content and happy at his core even during the hardest struggles in his life.
